TEAM Rochester’s Vision
  1. Mobilizing Prayer – A Prayer Vision
    • Prayer Center: 24/7 prayer is offered at a central location with three intercessors continually offering prayer. The center has links to congregations, community, state, nation and world centers. Materials may be confidential and include sites of concern.
    • Prayer List: A call list of intercessors who will respond to immediate needs. They occasionally or periodically assemble for encouragement, training and prayer.
    • Prayer Assignments: Once a year every street is walked, every block is circled and every building is covered in prayer. Additionally, there may be neighborhood captains and assignments.
    • Prayer Assemblies: Periodically throughout the year or on specific and immediate direction of the Holy Spirit there are Feasts and Fasts called that bring Christians together in prayer, worship, celebration or repentance.
    • Prayer Enterprises: People with a call organize prayer efforts for the Clinic, schools, hotels, hospitals, theatres, city council, judiciary, law enforcement, jails, etc. One example is the five blessing campaign that mobilizes intercessors to pray five blessings over five households for five weeks. In this way a city is covered. These efforts are communicated to congregations through a clearing house like an Administrative Team that coordinates the Prayer Center, List, Assignments and Assemblies.
  2. Evangelizing the Lost – An Evangelistic Advance
    • City Goal: Double in 10 years the percentage of residents in Rochester who profess faith in Jesus Christ and worship weekly in a Christian church.
    • Regional Goal: Network to provide an opportunity for every resident, worker and visitor to the Rochester region to hear and respond to the gospel shared in their heart language and culture (whether it is through strategies of prayer evangelism, Jesus videos, literature packets, block parties, mass evangelism, etc.).
    • International Goal: Sponsor evangelistic campaigns that unite churches in evangelistic ministry to segments of the community and region, enlist and cultivate general evangelists in these campaigns who then can be deployed worldwide, and develop models of regional evangelistic mission that can be replicated elsewhere.
  3. Blessing the Poor – A Network of Help
    • Communication: Network congregations, charities and social agencies so that both the scope of assistance and the deficits in assistance are understood. Provide access to information helpful to understanding and responding to those seeking assistance.
    • Cooperation: Partner together in offering assistance by supporting existing ministries and establishing new ministries to the poor that either would be beyond the ability of single congregations or be better accomplished by cooperative efforts.
